I was about ready to hang it up on my ‘74 DT360A, but I can’t give it up. I replaced the piston last year but now have leaking transmission fluid and it looks like I will replace the stator/ignition system with an updated HPI ignition.

Since we’re opening up the engine what all will I need to order for parts? Seals, gaskets, etc. that are necessities? And a friend that used to motocross recommends this HPI system: www.dcvmx.com/xcart/product.php?productid=187749

I want to get everybody’s input so I don’t miss the necessities as we’re going into it. I am trying to stay thrifty but do it right. Thanks in advance!

Left and right crank shaft seals and maybe bearings, maybe clutch plates and yamabond to seal the case during reassembly. Other stuff (if needed) as found.

You probably know but you will need a cylinder base gasket and head gasket.
