Rear foot return spring. was created by Jeppesen

Hi All.
Please help. Stripped my DT250B a few years ago and have forgotten how to get the spring and shaft back , without using a acetylene torch.
Thanks in advance.

Is it the position of the spring and/or how to flatten the end of the pin (daft design as far as I'm concerned).

Me, I just use clevis pins and 'R' clips.
