DT250 Intermittent No Spark was created by smd3

My bike was running ok when I put it up for a week or so because I needed to fix a fuel leak. When I got the carb back together I forgot to plug the battery back in and promptly blew the headlight bulb, and I'm sure every other bulb.

I figured I'd might as well just take it around the block, anyway. So, I plugged the battery in and took off. It ran for a bit, then died with no spark.

Now I can't seem to get consistent spark. I don't think the points are breaking properly, despite the gap.

When the points are open on the bike, should I be able to get continuity across them? (Even when the points are open I get continuity across the gap to the green wire.)
