After a bit of work on my engine, I have to refill it with oil. Problem is that my oil cap doesn't have a dipstick attached. Would someone be kind enough to post a photo of a DT400B dipstick with measurements.

My 250A and RT2 both say 1000cc by the cap / dip stick hole. I'm pretty certain my DT400 was the same.

Thanks for the info. I see the quantity stamped on the casing but Im not sure how much residual oil is left in the gearbox and for future level checking, the dipstick (or dimensions) is needed.

I'm not sure if your dip stick marks will be accurate. There are some threads here about the dip stick markings. I think someone here said the dip sticks used in some or all (?) were from other engine models. On my 250A one time when I changed the oil and put in fresh one quart (946ml) I checked to see where the oil level was on the dip stick. I then cut a new groove in the stick so I could check the level. The two lower marks were the original marks and the upper groove is the one I added with the one quart of oil.

Yeh" and i dont think it hold a 1000cc, , thers a thread in here somewhere about levels ,,

1000cc is on the right side cover and the service manuals specify 1000cc / 1.05 US quarts.
