I am fixing up my speedo for my DT175. I have the decals, a clean chrome shell, good glass, and it works. I need a new trip reset rubber I can get from DEET on EBAY...what I need is the trip reset knob with the little holding screw...this is a common part for the above DT's.

Do any of you know a suitable replacement, this is not a restoration but a nice clean refurbish, I want to ride it and would like to make it complete.

Thanks!

Thanks! I thought I searched well but missed that one. ~$40, is too steep for me, I have a '74 DT250 I'm trying to save up my hobby $$ allocation so maybe my refurb will go without a trip reset for now..

speedandsportinc.com has 43 TRIP Knobs in stock,(308-83578-30-00) @ $12.84 ea.
BUT, you need a min order to get it of at least $20 bucks.
I have restored two DT250A bikes using them as my primary vendor.
Great folks to get parts from, fast service & helpful. GOOD LUCK ! :)

nhsteve here agreeing with Steve F. Good folks to deal with. Sometimes OEM parts prices can be a shocker, but then if one cannot find them anywhere else, and OEM is the (sometimes the ONLY!) way to go, these guys can help.

I do miss boats though.

I like the way they catalog old and new parts together. very efficient way to look for things.

I am missing the small screw that attaches the knob. Does anyone know what size it may be (1974 DT250A)?
