Hello,
I was wondering has anyone ever tried to swap out a stock carburetor with a newer Mikuni TM carburetor on these older DT bikes. I have used these carburetors on other bikes with great success and really like them and wondering if that would carry over with a 1976 DT 400.

Hi tom " i ran a bigger Mikuni on mine, had to use a pod filter, it took a bit of jetting,to run cool,
thats the danger ,, performance was minimal, need expansion pipe, see big dogs post on his upgrades,
