I was just working w/points from a 77 250. The Yamaha parts list shows a 77 set of points for a 74 also.
I'm headed there in am for a set. Watch out. They are only 1 billion dollars per set lately.

Oh yeah.  Not sure about the 175.  would just call Yamaha. 
1974 Yamaha DT125A
1974 Yamaha DT360A with SP96 Exhaust
1977 Yamaha DT250D
Next…196x-197x Yamaha something.

CrashMoped,

Posting the same question multiple times gets confusing for everyone.  

As mentioned in your other thread, by your VIN you don't have a 1977 or a DT175, but likely the bike is a 1979 DT125.  

Which makes sense because there wasn't a 1977 DT175 model in the US and it would have had CDI if it was a 1978 on.
