Good afternoon all.

I’ve just acquired a new family member in the form of a 1978 DT125E (US) to accompany the 1976 DT175C I already have. Bike was in boxes and I’ve pretty much got it all back together, except the engine. However, I’m missing the silencer insert. CMSNL shows the part and the price, but has no availability. 

Part number is 1M11475201 - anyone got any leads on one? I’m located in Canada. Alternatively, has anyone had success with modifying something like the part below, which is readily available on eBay? I’d like to preserve the visual of the end piece, where possible..

Fits a LOT of models so sometimes can find one on ebay from another model but these days people want stupid prices.

Absolute rocking horse poo. I have a spare 78/79 125/175 US style silencer in pretty much almost new condition. Sadly without the baffle. I have been searching for a good one for three years.
All that ever shows up are in the US and badly hacked and smashed and going for a small fortune.

I’m really thinking that I’ll try one of those I pictured from eBay and rework it to fit.
