Hello been trying to sort out my 78 DT400, the bike runs but hard to start, doesn't have oil injection pump and I read premix at 20:1, I belive that is causing part of the problem starting, I clean the plug and usually starts 1st 2nd kick. when running it also doesn't like higher rpm's once again too much oil in mix?next thing is I would like to put the oil injection back on, it doesn't have stock carb there isn't a port for oil injection hose. what is the best aftermarket carb for the bike? I don't want to do anything crazy just make it run as stock. wish i could add pic's.

First up I'd try and find an original carb.
