DT175mx Reed Block Installation was created by MikeK-uk

Good evening,
Just perusing my newly acquired factory maintenance manual.
Just seen that the reed block should be installed in a certain orientation.
Didn’t know this and installed mine in a random orientation.
Removing and refitting the carb is always a pita and I worry about damaging the rubbers,  so whilst orientation must matter or else it wouldn’t be mentioned in the manual…
Does it matter a lot?! Will engine blow up or seize, performance will be less than perfect, or won’t really notice?
(It all fitted together nicely / easily when I put it back together)
Thank you,
Mike

Be interesting to read what they say. If they measure the same each way & look the same I can't think of  reason.
