I want to remove the oil reservoir and run mixed gas. I want to replace the stock carb and would like some recomendations and links if possible.  Budget is not really a concern. Also I would like to replace the reed valve as there is always a gap and can never get them to close all the way. 

I have a brand new Lectron carb I had made for my 1977 DT400, I sold the bike, still have the carb, never used.  

Very easy to tune and runs SO much better than stock.  (I have not used this carb but have used them on two of my other bikes.)

It was made to the dimensions of the stock carb...  the stock cable would need modifying (since yamaha used a tall cap carb) but since you're removing the oil injection you can just swap to a single aftermarket throttle and cable. 

$200 + shipping...  I think I paid around $500.
