Hello guys!
Found a very cheap Yami MX model from 1980. No chance to go away without picking it up ;)
Now I´m looking for a parts list. CMSNL only has an US parts list which is different to the European list I think.
Any idea?
Thx
Gerry

If your VIN is after 2K4-010101, then you might have a 1979 2X2 model, and there are a few parts lists in Germany on fleabay for this model.

It looks like the model code for the 1980 bike is 4J4 and the VIN starts 2K4-020101. I've no idea if there was a separate parts list for this model.

Al is correct. Your model code is 4J4 and was available in sunburst red, White or Yamaha black. Graphics for 4J4 should be two diagonal lines tapering slightly outwards from the front of the tank, to the rear.

This will help identify if you have the correct book as there is usually a drawing of the bike with the correct graphics in the parts book.

And yes the 1980 spec is very different between the US and European versions.  Off the top of my head I think electrical,  front suspension and steering, fuel tank, rear suspension inc swingarm and very likely the carb.
