Hey guys!

Maybe someone could help me out...I need some basic measurements for a '77 and up DT100 air filter cage.
Seems like they are no longer available and the only one I can find on eBay is way overpriced after shipping is all said and done.
I believe I can just 3D print one, but I need some basic outside measurements.

I am looking for overall height, width and length of the top section and width and length of the bottom section.
The rest I should be able to guess and come up with something close enough.

If someone could get these measurements for me I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks in advance :)

Long shot but have you tried buying the element from Yamaha? Sometimes they come with cage. The photo from Partzilla almost looks like cage might be there? www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/1T9-14450-00-00

Here's an insane seller trying to sell a rotted new filter on ebay for crazy $$$.  It definitely has the cage.  Ebay 1T9-14450 link

Not sure current new ones will have a cage, but worth a try.  I've been lucky before.  Sometimes best to check local "brick and mortar" Yamaha dealer and see if they have any in stock or can check the Yamaha system to see if another dealer has one.  Or just start calling dealers with the part number to check stock and if someone has one, simply ask them if it has the cage...  if it does, buy it.

As per Mark's reply, here's a slightly clearer photo on the CMSNL site and it appears that the cage comes with the filter. Obviously buy from the US!

Notice that there is a revision shown on CMSNL... -00 to -01. It's possible if you get the -01 version it won't come with cage. So might have to find an older 00 version someplace which CMSNL seems to have?

Or call around to dealers. Sometimes a dealer will be nice and check stock at other dealers for you and then give you the contact info for a dealer that has it.

Just to muddy the waters (me? surely not!), the recent supersession, from -00 to -01, on the DT/RT air filters is for a non oiled filter to a pre oiled one.

Doesn't really help, I know, so I agree with Mark that it's best to do as much research as you can before buying.

Update on this:

P/N: 1T9-14450-01 is both the air filter and the cage, not oiled.
