DT400E neutral light switch was created by PeteJ

My neutral light and oil lamp not lighting so I guess I have a problem with the neutral light switch.  I've looked all over for it where is it hiding? Behind the counter shaft sprocket cover? I've only had my DT for a couple of days so I'm trying to find my way around! Thanks in anticipation Pete

I don’t know if it is the answer to both your problems but yes it is down low behind the sprocket cover. Single wire going to it. Tough little rubber boot covering the connection.

Also worth checking out the oil level gauge mechanism that pushes into the top of the two stroke oil tank.

If you're comfortable with electrics, check continuity between the terminals in the wire block at the end of the switch when the slider is sitting at the bottom of the shaft. Also check that the terminals are clean.

Be good if just a bulb problem or power wire that feeds both bulbs. Guessing it'd be a light brown power source to both bulbs.

Neutral switch wire provides a ground to both bulbs... so a very logical place to start!
