DT2 aftermarket kill switch wiring was created by lukeh

My DT2 is missing the ignition switch, so while I am working through the resto I will use a simple kill switch.
I want to confirm that the appropriate way to wire it is to run the black stator-to-coil wire to ground, not to put a switch inline in the black wire?

So the stator will still be a closed circuit to the coil; but when switched will ALSO have a closed circuit to ground. Is that correct?
