I have read what I can find about the autolube system, I think I understand the basic principle. However before I run this motor excessively, I would like to verify that the crank is getting oiled. I have not seen a way to verify that.
Should I just assume that as long as it pushes oil up to the intake that it is also pushing to the crank? I'm not sure I have that much faith 

I would also like to see a diagram of the oil lines. I see there is a chain oiler pipe that comes out the back of the transmission. And mine has the line from the pump feeding in to the cylinder directly, not in to the intake.

This is a resto with unknown history, last tag was 1984 and I have no idea if it has run since then. Though it did arrive with plenty of heavy boat style 2T oil in the tank.

Any particular bike? Year? Make? Model? Autolube in general?
Your "chain oiler" description sounds like a crankcase breather pipe....

You might get more accurate information if you fill in the details.

72 DT2 250 with a 71 RT1 360 motor. I believe it's a piston port.

I did find some info since posting. I believe you are correct on the breather for the chain oiler. I will move to an X-ring chain and therefore probably just block that breather off (unless it needs to breathe for other reasons?)

For the autolube, I guess it feeds the crank from the same cylinder banjo. I will pull it apart and make sure the channels are clear, not sure what more I can do beyond that?

Hey, there's a You tube video or 2 on verifying the pump output. Also there's a bulletin in this site's library with the volume of the output for a lot of our bikes. You rotate the white plastic wheel 200 times at idle and also wide open and check your volume to the chart.
