Worked through most issues so wanted to update all on the first road run.  It ran OK, but it wanted to die as I throttled down to shift.  As I was turning around to head back to the house it continued to want to die at low throttle and died as I pulled it into the garage.  No issues with build as the piston was still moving over and not like it got hot aor anything - just think maybe the carb is not adjusted right.  Also I the clutch slipped as I moved beyond first gear.  Dod that before the rebuild but the clutch plates were within spec.  I'll re-adjust and try again but might need new plates ot springs.  Otherwise , progress!

Well done.

Is the pilot jet tested as clear?

Gearbox oil needs to be MA20 spec - clutch slip can occur with normal engine oil.

Glad to hear it's running. I'd checked the pilot jet, good chance it's plugged as its very small and will cause exactly this issue.

I had to replace the springs on my CT2 as well, they were original and out of spec and it would slip.
