DT2 Oil pump

DT2 Oil pump was created by Stem

I have rebuilt my DT2 oil pump, following the instructions and pictures provided from the tech library.  I noticed when the drive gear is held stationary, the oil pump prime wheel turns freely clockwise but not counterclockwise.  Is this correct?
