Rt2 360 crankshaft/ DT400 was created by Paul360rt2uk

Looking for a crankshaft for my 72 rt2 360 to get rebuilt as a spare, can't find one here in UK and wondering if it's the same crankshaft in the DT400 as these are available & would save expensive shipping from USA.
Advice greatly appreciated

Bit of a guess looking at parts pic but crank gear is keyed on instead of splined as on the 360.
Stroke will be the same at 70mm.
Main bearings on the old 360 are big bearing OD but probably the same ID on both.
Partzilla head its parts pic up as 250-400 not sure why but not an issue in this case as the keyed primary gear is problem number one.
Crank gear looks different in the pics although both have helical teeth.
Then crank seal on that side might be different inside ID where it fits over the gear [but possibly not].
Drawings may just have it looking different on the gear where seal runs on both.
Be good if you had a wrecker handy to compare.
If you buy one be sure its a 400 not 250 because they'll look identical except the 400 stroke puts the pin further out--& you'd have to look close to see the difference.
400 crank might run the oil pump drive off a crank extension that could need removing or could hit the case.
Lot of guessing on my part.
Pics down the bottom shows an older 250 & 360, where the 250 'just' sits into the step where crank bearing sits up to.
360 'just' clears that step.

Wow, not as simple as I had hoped, looks like I'm purchasing/ going to purchase from  USA & taking a hit on the shipping/ postal charges,  my last 2 smoke experience was 26 years ago on a dt 175 , so the 360 should be  quite a revival to me, regards from Paul.

CMSNL indicates that the same crank was used on all of the RT models (ie 1, 2, 3 & MX), so widen your search to include these.

Might be worth asking D&K / twowheelspares.

A forum member in Cornwall (I think!) was looking to sell on an unfinished RT1 project with a rebuilt engine, so might be worth contacting them.
