RT3 Front fender was created by RT34Me

Does anyone know how many models the steel factory front fender came on for a '73 RT3?
I picked one up that was for a CT3 I believe and thought the only difference was the chrome mounting brackets. But the fender appears to be smaller maybe because CT doesnt have 21" front wheel? Maybe just DT3 and RT3 are the same?

The DT1 / RT1 steel guard and DT2 / RT2 guard have differing part numbers .
I'm not sure what the difference was , possibly a little longer .
Likewise the rear stays were different , though the fronts stated the same .
I suspect , but don't know for sure , that the 125 / 175 guards are a bit smaller .

125/175/250/360 all have the same part number for the low fender itself...  18", 19", and 21" wheel all the same as far as I know.

Early models were aluminum, later were steel.  You can also interchange early and late.

1973 steel CT3 DT3 and RT3 front fenders and stays are all exactly the same, fender measures about 23" across from front tip to rear tip. The AT3 used a similar looking fender but it was a little shorter (22" measured across from front tip to back tip) and each of the stays are likewise shorter. Any of these fenders will fit a 21" wheel as that is what was originally installed from the factory on all of the Enduros in 1973. The AT3 fender will fit on your bike but anybody very familiar with these bikes will recognize the incorrect fitment.
The CT DT RT fenders use front stays that are nearly straight, the AT fenders front stays have a significant curve to them, this visual difference is immediately noticeable to a purist.
Correct RT3 shown here:

An AT3 front stay (more curved) shown here:

As well as the above, from a quick look you can see more guard on the 125 in front of the front bracket mount than on the bigger bikes. The shorter more curved bracket of the 125 brings the mont back towards the forks.

Thanks for the info. The fender I have is more than likely from an AT3.125's and the 175 obviously used a different, smaller fender. The straight style front mount bracket won't line up properly to mount to the fork with this particular fender.

I have bought several front fenders and brackets over the last several years and have several Enduros. ('71 and '73 CT/DT/RT).

There are 2 different size mounting holes. This determines which bracket fits which fender with appropriate grommet in the bracket or fender. It may have something to do with the different part numbers.

And the 125 is smaller.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

The small hole in fender/large hole in bracket is '72-73; opposite is correct for '71 and earlier. Aluminum fenders were used from '68-70, steel from '71-73.
