Pirelli MT21 are excellent on my DT400E
Dunlop D606 have been very good to me on my DT400B
But I recently added Tusk Dual Sports to my DR650, and expect to purchase several sets for my Yamahas. They are almost a direct clone of the D606 and run about $110 for a pair f/r - They seem to last as well as the Dunlops so far. They are quite good on the street, as well as most anything else you throw at them.

IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

Does the DT2 still have the 19" front?
I'm a huge fan of DOT knobbies and like the Kenda Trakmaster series because they make them in smaller sizes to fit the 175's... I have one bike with a 19" front and am thinking of trying the Trackmaster 19" front knobby. Size sounds a little narrow but tires can vary significantly in size and in the pictures I could find it looks bigger than the size would indicate.
(This is so crazy that some brands have tires in a bigger size that are actually smaller than the size below it.)

Are you using a 19" or 21" front?

The challenge is finding a 19" front knobby... Kenda makes one that seems a good candidate. I hope to have one soon... My favorite store, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC has been out of them but supposed to be back in stock in about a week.
