Splitting crankcase CT2 was created by Maltese

Hi all,

Sorry if this is a idiot question but this is the 1st time I've done anything like this - I've read in the technical section '100cc - 175cc 71-73 Combined Yamaha Service..' page 69, step 4,  that I should attatch the splitting tool to the right hand crankcase (Clutch side) and split from the right.

But in youtube vids and 'Yamaha full range manual' Step 10 page 28 it states the left.

Ideally I want to do it with the least amount of parts moving or falling out so I can get a few pics to hopefully help me put it all back together, maybe it doesn't matter as long as everything that needs to be removed is?

Any advice greatfully appreciated.

I've always split from the left side, when split crank ending up in the right half, and keep the trans in the left.
