CT2 Oil pump pin shot across the garage was created by bradocross
I bought a rebuild kit for my oil pump. I took it apart in a bag to make sure the microscopic parts didn't fly away. I also had to force out the worm wheel shaft with a drift rod. I got it all back together and realized that I had moved something internal to the shaft so I had to take it apart again..... but forgot to use the bag. One of the microscopic worm wheel pins shot across the garage and, well, after spending the better part of a day looking for it I gave up. Unfortunately, they don't sell these at Yamaha or Ebay. Does anyone know where I can find one?
I also got a bit rough with the worm wheel shaft. I moved the position of the barrier that exists inside the shaft when I used the drift rod to free it from the pump body. During my attempt to move it back, the shaft separated from the end. I was able to tap it back on but I'm not sure I trust that it will work correctly again (I'd hate to seize a motor due to my ham fisted disassembly).
I'd great appreciate any advice.....

The oil exit hole is in a precise location in reference to the cam.
Unless you marked it ahead of time, you can only guess where it goes.

Sounds like I need to acquire another oil pump (and do right this time). Anyone have a CT2 oil pump to sell?

I don't want to put words into his mouth , but DEET might be able and willing to repair it for you.

I would be looking for another donor pump.
Once you separate those two pieces, you can only guess the alignment.
The trick is to not separate them.

Yes, I've posted a want add in the Market (yamaha-enduros.com) for a pump. I really appreciate everyone's help with this.

Well that was fast! Curt (LetsJet) just sold me a pump. That's four parts requests and four parts now. I may have to give him partial title when I'm done with this bike......
