CT2 crank seal direction was created by bradocross

I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild of my CT2 and purchased OEM crank seals. The primary side (right side) has a lip on both sides (SW type double lip) so the double-spring seals both ways. These are not "castle" type seals but there is writing on one side (see photos). I've take apart two different motors and found the writing to be facing the crank on one motor and facing outward on the other motor. So, does it make a difference which way you install the OEM double lip crank seal on a CT2?

I install them writing side out.

I also highly recommend using the the dual lip magneto side seal from the 77-79 IT175.
