CT3 175 no spark was created by bubbaAT1
So I was not getting spark on my CT3 and I tried everything I took parts off of a running ct3 and put them on the non running ct3 , Stator with new points all the running coils, wiring harness, ignition coil. I tried bypassing the harness and going direct to ignition coil from the stator still no spark I have never had this problem before and I am going to pull my hair out if I had any, Any advice would be great.

Were you getting a good spark and then it quit?
Did you paint the frame?
Do you have an ohm meter, that you can measure the continuity between the stator base plate and the mounting lugs on the actual ignition coil under the tank? You need to have good continuity (less than 1 ohm) on this path for the ignition to work properly. No parts replacement will fix this. Common problems here are corroded or painted contact anywhere in this path. Stator plate to engine to frame to coil bracket to coil frame/ground.

I sanded the paint off frame where the ground wire connects and cleaned the bracket good where the mount bolts go for the ignition coil but I will check the ohms tomorrow and see if that is it.
Thanks Robert,
Thanks Robert,

Engine to frame... as mentioned by JayB... is a common place for a bad ground. You need to clean the paint off the inside of the engine mount tabs on the frame... usually just the front motor mount is good enough.
