Not an easy answer unless ya into porting & stuff. Could alter the fibre rotary valve disk to give more duration, open earlier & close later but not sure how much to give it. I bucket raced one--my first bucket, but didn't mod it much. If i [wasn't 75 lol] & had my time again i'd possibly raise the cylinder with a base plate to give about 180 exhaust duration then whiz the top of the cylinder by the base plate amount. Then being a centre plug head i'd spin that in the lathe on a threaded holding tool & up the compression. Easier to lower the bottom of the ports with limited tools after lifting the cylinder. Could also go a bit wider on the exhaust port. Then i'd mod the rotary valve to about 180 duration also Then need a chamber exhaust to get the best out of it. Without facts & figures i'm not sure how much earlier to start the inlet disk opening or when to close it. Probably room to open the carb mount a bit & find a bigger carb. Sounds like i know a lot haha but have a shed full of blow ups that says otherwise!!. There's Porting specialist on here that'll give sound advice soon. I need a lie down after that excitement--did enjoy my first bucket racer though.

If you can find an old Intertec manual, they often had "hop up" guidelines based on the Yamaha GYT kits I think.

Pretty powerful for a 100 already...  I'd start with the exhaust...  try Treatland for moped pipes that can modded to fit and they even have spigot carbs and bushings...  a lot of mopeds used that type of carb mounting.  Doubt a larger carb would do much unless you ported, etc.

If you sign up at treatland they email you codes every once in a while for a good discount on their parts.

Here's one pipe of hundreds they have...  keep in mind they likely won't have any parts made for your bike, just parts you could adapt and modify to fit.

if you find a PDF for the old Yamaha Racing Tips manual online inside there is a Yamaha lt2 Motocross expansion chamber dimensions which will really wake up your old l2g

Here's the info from Intertec...  I think the Yamaha Racing Tips might be somewhere in the Tech Library as well?

L2G is a lay down motor for them wondering, not a fire breather & just the road version of an L2CA high low farm bike although a bit more performance. The morphed into a DX100 of which i recently sold one but performance never changed. One year the new ones we sold at work were Very Low Powered manufactured in Taiwan by memory. Those ones had locking fuel tank cap & slash cut end of the exhaust--wouldn't pull !@4%$# at all. Customers complaining especially if their friend had the older model.
