I have only brought one complete bike back to Canada from the U S A in 15 years.  I actually dismantled it and brought it home as an assortment of motorcycle parts.  US Customs is a real stickler for original title documents for complete vehicles. I have a condo in Whitefish Montana and once it is across the border I am not sure on your local registration rules for  50 year old vehicles.  The closest US  town to me is Malta, Montana and its  1250 miles on I-94 to Chicago.  If you want to check into getting it shipped from Malta and you can arrange with US customs I can get it there for you  I am in the process of getting it running either way this goes.  I crated and shipped a  1976 DT400 to Toronto and it cost the guy that bought it 600 bucks for freight and crating. I actually think there are people that run RV'S up here from Illinois somewhere and maybe I could hook up with one of those.  I will check from this end

Well, When do you think you will have the bike running? I’d like to know what does/doesn’t work with it before I buy it, especially since I would have to ship it

My original plan was to get everything working and that is still the plan.  the bike is cosmetically intact  with signal lights.  I am just at the point where I am testing all the wiring and see if the electric starting works and to see if it has spark.  I will contact you after I get it running.  It has very good compression so as long as there is spark i'm pretty sure it will run good. The one thing I am still missing is the large pipe heat guard.  I have the small front one.  The original paper type air filter is still intact and I need a choke lever on the handle bars, actually I need the complete left perch to finish it off nicely.  I will send you some more pics as I put it together
