Not sure if any of this helps but anyway. Gave up trying to scan so took some pics. Remains to be seen if any better or i'll delete them. Of course were in 'Oceania' for the models we got which i think were the same as South Africa having bought bits from there on Ebay. Ours had replaceable bulbs for the headlight, so cheap 'as' compared to a sealed unit so could afford to make a mistake. Tail light ran off the magneto with the headlight, not from battery--if that even happened on DT1's in the US in "70-71 & hard to imagine with the piddly little battery.

According to Partzilla E was "71. I thought "71 was F. Sure we sold the orangy red DT!F in "71 but then again i'm having a good day if i can remember yesterday some days.

Ps I have validated key switch functionality. I will use color schematic to double check wiring thanks again

Keep in mind that the great diagrams posted by RT325 are not for US models.  As he said, in the US by 1971 we had extra wiring in the key switch that connects the taillight to the battery so it stays lit with engine off.

Update:
switched green daylight to unused white coming out of magneto and everything works and I have nice charging voltage to battery on both key positions. So I think I lucked out. So once Amazon man comes with headlamp bulb it’s time to go for a ride.
