1969 CT1 Barn Find was created by LETSJET

I must have a soft spot for dying bikes as I had to save this one. It's a 1969 CT1, not locked up, trans shifts okay, and mostly there. I have a gas tank and correct riveted front fender plus instruments so it could be the start of a really nice restoration. The set pan is completely intact with no cracks. All in all a solid candidate for restoration as the California orange CT1's are a very good looking looking bike.
Busy finishing up my LT3 so not sure if I will do this 175 or let it go, but it's my first 1969 enduro.

Did I see that one on CL? I think I remember the Akront rear rim in an advert I saw?

The rear rim is a puzzler to me never saw one like that. What’s the story? Is it a useable period correct upgrade?
There was an obscure ad for this bike but it was in parts. The bike is actually pretty solid. I’ve only seen photos of a 1969 and it’s a nice color bike.

It is a useable period upgrade, there are others more knowledgeable about that time period and decisions to use them, but I think mostly for the strength of the shouldered rim edge and lighter weight.

Dave Kolbo (KDI) has (or had?) a really really nice restored '69. It's on this forum in pictures somewhere.
