I am having the same issue with the cylinder head bolts back out on my 68 DT1-250. Did retorquing the head bolts work? Did you end up using Loctite? I have gone through a couple flat gaskets and now on a sandwich gasket that just started leaking during my ride yesterday. Retorqued this morning to 28.9 ft lbs. Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.
Be Happy!

Hard to say as i'm not there. In the past i had a DT 175 MX that did that.
I ended up replacing the studs and nuts as they were defective. They were only undone the once.
Maybe yours are the same. 18 or 28 lbs ft is nothing ,i think it's more down to the quality or their supplier when new as i haven't had problems with any others yet.

It sounds like someone may have stretched your cylinder studs, once that happens it will not settle down again. You should replace the studs and the nuts.
