Engine/Frame bolt. was created by Bdee

I bought a replacement bolt that fastens the engine to the bottom front of the frame (CT3) cause I was working on an electrical issue and found that the bolt was heavily pitted and covered in white corrosion. I read here that the engine bolts need to be clean for a good ground.

The replacement I got from the dealer has a dark grey coating that according to a $12 multi-meter doesn't have continuity over its surface.

Is it ok to use?

Blimey, that's interesting. Wouldn't worry about it though. Just do it up tight.

Check the resistance between the engine crankcase and a bare spot on the frame.

When I put a motor back in I clean and polish one frame tab that contacts the crankcase.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.
