decent petrol filter ??? do they exist

hi guys
iv tried afew petrol filters on my bikes but they all seem to go bad after a while ,  bad as in the clear plastic discolours after around a week and some even start leaking ,
there are hundreds on ebay but iv tried quite afew and i just need to get a decent quality filter , any help would be great , i live in the uk .

That is strange. I have always bought them from the motorcycle shops in the US. They just have a bunch of inline filters in a drawer. Not sure what the difference could be. I never had one fail yet, usually just replace after a while just incase.

I get mine from a local power equipment place and like Buggin said, they had a drawer full of them. They’ve held up well. Little white plastic ones. Not see thru.

Marine stores have great ones.  Or Visu-filter is a good brand.

Jets-r-us has some metal ones, but they r in the USA.  www.jetsrus.com/parts/fuel_filters.html

I like when you can see the filter particle size rating, usually in microns.

I use Wix inline filters.  Wix are a very reputable filter company.  No leaks or discoloration so far.

Need one like my old Fergy tractor had. Glass bowl the fuel flows through & all the rubbish stays on the bottom to empty out as required.
