Re attaching split crankcases was created by carter6787

This has probably been answered numerous times before but what is the the correct procedure for putting my RT3 crankcases back together?
I do not have the special tool but could make something if anyone can show me a pic.
Is Yamabond no4 still the best sealant?
Thanks all.

I did mine with the freeze/heat method but I don’t recommend it. Get a tusk installation tool or reach out to Deet (on this site) I heard he makes the tool. Only reason I did it the way I did was because two eBay sellers canceled my order after taking my payment for some unknown reason. I was trying to save some money by going with an off brand installation tool and got tired of waiting. I used the yamabond 4. I think Kawasaki three bond also works.

DEET tool has adapters for all the Enduros.  No other tool does as far as i know.

Pictures of tool being used can be found in the service manuals in the tech library...  surprisingly right in the section that describes how to assemble engine.

Just heat the center of the left bearing with a paint stripping heat gun & then get it on the shaft. Then heat the case reasonably hot & quickly drop the crank in the left case.
Then heat the right case enough & drop 'that' bearing in. Then shovel [bad word] the trans in to the left case & then the right case complete with bearing will slide over the crank as its a zero clearance sliding fit [not an interferance fit]. Then its held tight to the right side by the crank nut & gear. When you've tightened the crank nut just give the crank a good 'tap' on the mag side to de-stress it. That's how i'd do it without tools. Make sure the crank shaft is totaly clean & the bearing center & can have a practice slide on & off the crank right side just to satisfy yourself. That's just my ideas be them good or bad.
