Was it usual for such "rustic" number stamping to be going on in those days? My bat senses are tingling.

For several years the engine numbers looked like they were hand-stamped by someone who may have been drinking on the job.
This image is hidden for guests.
Some of the experts here can tell by the fonts, etc. if the stamping is correct... kinda looks correct to me but I'm no expert on the topic.

I saw that one too and is the neighboring state. All the hard parts are missing and have been replaced with more modern ones. Looks like maybe the front hollow axle is there? Would be a candidate for all the earliest parts that ever came on them. Still, if frame matches it's worth something. I've bought (2) 68 DT1 bikes in the past 8 weeks so all my fun money is going into the better one for restoration.
