Front fender/mudguard identification was created by type one

Hi

so I have these and wanted to check what years they were correct for … I’m thinking the one with the larger rear hole for a rubber grommet is 69-71 and the one with the smaller hole for a bolt is 72 onwards?

thanks in advance

I think upto and including '70 they were aluminium (domed rivets).
Those look like steel (flush rivet), which I think is '71 and onwards.
I don't know about the smaller hole, but I'm sure someone her will

T 1 , Pete is correct . You are looking at 71 and 72/3 guards .
This has come up in a thread before , and I thought I wrote it down .
Sadly I can't find any jottings . I do have a NOS 72/3 guard , but I'm away for a few days .
If no one else has enlightened you by then , when I get back I'll dig it out and get back to you .

A bit of a search revealed " House of Enduro " answered this question a couple of months back .
The Fender and rear support brackets are a matched pair .
72 / 73 Fender has a small hole
72/73 Rear Bracket has a large hole .

71  Fender has a large hole
71  Rear Bracket has a small hole .

Hope that helps .
