RT3 360 clutch rebuild was created by Enduro nut
My clutch is slipping like a son of a biscuit on my 73 RT360 and im in the process of rebuilding it. Someone had part number 214-16332-00-00 (the spacer ring) which im quite certain that is not supposed to be in there? Another question i have is the difference in the plates themselves. If you check partzilla or babbits diagram of the clutch, down at the bottom of the image is a note saying if you have this boss use these type of plates. Im not sure what the difference between clutch plates 1 and 2 are if any? I believe what i need is 7 of the metal plates 168-16325-00-00 and 7 of the friction plates 5Y1-16331-01-00 with the little rubber ring cushions in between does this sound correct?

So after some reading and playing around with my clutch i discovered that one of my steel plates is actually twice as thick as the regulars which is part #4 in the diagram. I believe what i need is 7 friction plates and 7 of the regular steel plates plus that odd ball size plate. Is there a clutch kit out there somewhere or am i gonna have to buy all of these individually?

Yes the first one in is extra thick. I don't know of a kit that includes that. Just buy it separately if you need a new one. There are kits out there for frictions and steels but don't get the Chinese ones. BTW I've switched to all Barnett frictions and Barnett HD springs on all my bikes. Had some slipping under peak horse power with OEM parts. Be sure you check the free length of the springs and be prepared to replace them. Check manual for specs. I'll only use the Barnett parts now since had to pull two bikes back apart due to slipping. Also, the OEM springs have a free length of 36mm and the Barnett HD are 39mm for that model. Clutch feels real good going that way. Good luck.

Appreciate the advice, i was looking at those Barnett plates as well. Springs are next on my list, i seen them in the service manual earlier.
