UPDATE: ART RITTEROFF

“Uncle Arthur”

Work was pretty much completed Monday on the 1971 DT1 which was previously thought to be a 1970 by the owner. The forks and swing arm told a different story. Buttoned everything up as best as possible, new oil pump and Yamalube 2S.
Changed the main jet from a 150 to a 170.

Honestly Folks’ this bike came together quicker than the DT3 that also arrived from the same owner. The wiring is a little crazy but we’ve got a fair chance of success and survival with the help of DEET.

Both bikes went home today. Good thoughts should be given. We gave it’ our best effort. The owner lost his Dad this week.

Yama-Land got a nice complement yesterday,
the DT3 really pulls strong / hard on the top end’ with all the work done. Starts constantly on the second kick.
That bike had no spark when it arrived. Wire was connected - when it was not supposed to be.
VERY APPRECIATED ..
