After making a little bit of noise with the seller and letting them know that there was no button to push for a prepaid return, and Ebay is no longer answering the telephone. Let me repeat that. When you call Ebay they want you to get on your computer instead of talking to a person. This is really a bad business practice. For some reason a person cannot be on the telephone handling their business anymore?
I explained to the seller after they had suggested that I print a prepaid return label that I was not able to do so, I was not able to contact eBay - a couple more emails overseas and I got an email saying that I should have a refund in 3 to 5 days. So, if you're unhappy - you got a defective item - you have to stay with it - on top of it - until the seller moves.

That's what you call a 4.25 x 18 knobby tire digging in to the dirt....

I finally gave in and ordered a set of turn signals for my 78 DT400 from Taiwan. Waited 10 weeks for delivery. The advert showed they fit the 78, but the rears didn't. The mounting stud was 1" too short. Contacted seller for return and after 2 weeks contacted ebay. After another week ebay replied the seller shipped the correct item. I try to avoid ebay, but now when I search I choose the search option "located in the USA only". Will not buy from China anymore.

What you're describing on the rears is a known issue.

K&S catalog lists the wrong ones too... Devin has a post on it here someplace. Not sure why some places list the short stud version when the long stud is needed?

Buyer beware? Its one of those things we all should know. You get what you pay for! I've bought stuff from ebay, from China with the forethought of what if??? I've been lucky, I bought a new, from China, touch screen for my Garmin Zumo 450, 8$ free shipping! I installed it and been working great for a couple years now. Just bought a skid plate for my 500X, from China, 45$. Not a heavy-duty bash plate but a nice sturdy rock gaurd that suits my needs. For me it comes down to putting thought into what if?

One of the things I learned from my Yama-Mentor was to purchase all parts and components for clients and customers. And, he was correct especially when the wrong carburetor an ISO 24 mm Suzuki / Kawasaki Mikuni Carburetor was purchased for a AT1-B a few years ago. It was missed labeled on the eBay. That Carburetor not only didn't fit the bike, I was told then "the bike wound not run correctly even if I changed the bolt hardware to studs and nuts."

If a part needs to be purchased from Overseas, I will gladly have the Client order that item. I want to give thanks to my Yama-Mentor without mentioning any names he opened some great doors for me about 3 years ago.

What annoys me on eBay now is the emergence of the “masquerading” of the sellers location to appear local.
They appear to be able to forge the location of the seller to which must be fraudulent surely and eBay must be aware of this. I suspect they must have a local contact that registers the account but all transactions are definitely overseas if you check the PayPal invoice.
They can be difficult. To spot but generally have free shipping and another giveaway is generally the delivery time and poor English in the description. they also seem to appear at the top of the listings too.

Good point to bring up.

If one cannot reach a eBay representative ( understanding them ) a different issue, one cannot determine the location of the sellers item or product. This makes a difference.
