Jug identification was created by automan
Does anyone have pix of cylinders from 1974 75 76 77?
I have a DT250A '74 where the displacement cast mark is on the intake tract.
Just bought a jug that was advertised as a 250A but the displacement cast mark is on the base of the jug.
In addition a bolt on loom is on the bottom for I guess, the magneto wire support.
confused as to what i have and what i just bought
Update:
Looking at the jugs, I mis-spoke, 246 on the 2 were stated wrong, corrected now.
Cleaned up I see many differences, no oil port, and the mentioned bolt-on loom.
Re-read advertisement and was stated as 250A 1977-1978 MY MISTAKE!
Seems it's a 77 or 78 model with wire loom for magneto wires, and guessing oil injection goes on carb. bowl.
70mm master ring gauge coming, so I can measure bore(adv. as 70mm)
Still had final bore inspection ink on cyl. skirt "70.017" !
What year did the injection point change?
Wire loom?
Any port changes?

IF the jug is on the bike, the right hand side, very close to the middle of the intake side, 246 is stamped, just below it, a threaded bolt hole is also.

I’ll poke around some more, but a quick check and I didn’t find a port inside.
Mine is apart, not going back together.

1975 oil injected into outlet of carb.(nipple) upstream of reed valve.
1974 oil injected into intake reed housing on jug.(downstream of reeds)
my '74 A model has the '74 jug, but 30mm carb.
Should be a place for a nipple on the carb.
YEP 2 spots, right under choke lever!
Going to take a hard 90° to miss that lever when choke is on.
thanx!

The "loom mounting" hole is likely the bracket for the clutch cable.

Yes, right after the reed valves. Crazy, the area the oil mixes with the gasoline, is spotless clean, the rest of that area is dingy.
Now I’ll go look for the clutch cable suspension bolt hole.
