Tranmission output seal was created by Nsnnif97
Recently replaced the output seal cause it was slobbering oil all over. I've been riding it more recently and noticed it still slobbery oil is this normal or did I miss something when I put it back together the first time?

Defo not normal but oil does tend to run & look like coming from somewhere else. Can only clean it off & look closer. Maybe sit bike on a box & run it up minus the clutch actuator sprocket cover. Start motor then spin the wheel forwards & pop into gear then mabe get up to third gear or higher & observe. Just be very careful with the bike trying to escape. OK maybe that idea isn't he best but!!. You have three possible sources of oil like pushrod, gear change shaft sprocket seal then if it's an early 250 or 360 there's a cap bung over the selector drum at the bottom. I've forgotten what bike were talking now. Some bike but not yamaha have a super thin Oring behind the spacer but spacer is recessed for that. Might be suzuki. If it's a 100 to 175 there's a cap over the selector drop high up that an errant chain can damage or snack off then oil can slowly escape.

Many models have a sleeve over shaft that seal lip rides on. If debris got under sleeve or nut is not tight and sleeve doesn't sit tight and seal against bearing race, oil can seep out through inside of sleeve and come out the splines.
Check trans vent hose too.
As RT325 said, it can be very hard to tell where leak is coming from sometimes. Shifter seal and cap broken/cracked mentioned on AT/CT shift drum end is most common in my experience.

Something else that just bought back memories from work--owners see a filler hole & fill it to the top!!, then it finds its way out anwhere it can. 250-360 hold one liter from total empty. Smaller models a lot less!! like 650 or so written on the case.

Not this time I measured the oil after draining to do the clutch
