Cylinder barrel oil line fitting. was created by djetmb
I acquired a CT 2 last fall that had been off the road for some time and was not in running condition. It's now running and I'm sorting out
some details. Regarding the oil line fitting on the barrel, mine has the bolt with the tapered tip installed. The parts fiche on the CMSNL
website shows the straight bolt with no tip.
Can anyone confirm this? I do have a straight bolt in my stash so easily changed.
There is no evidence of any cylinder bore or piston damage.
Thanks for any help.

Not sure what you mean by tapered tip which sounds like a bolt to locate into something. Is it hollow. CMSL for CT2 shows the usual bolt on my computer.

Unless it's a longer than normal stepped down hollow bolt with extended nose out of something else to put the oil out into the airflow.

Sounds like a M6 brake fitting to me.

I replaced it with the straight bolt listed. The tapered bolt that was in there is a Yamaha part. It is
hollow and has a very small outlet hole. Thanks for the input.
