thanks for the help in my previous thread,  now I'm trying to button it up.  Tried to install the cover over the cs sprocket and pushrod adjuster.  but the pushrod is at least an inch (sorry, 25mm) from the adjuster.   I have the clutch "pusher" under the pressure plate and the ball between it and the push rod.

It is possible that the idiot who "went thru" the motor installed the wrong push rod,  does anyone know the correct length?

I can dmake something to work but  would rather make it right.  What do you see?

I might be wrong but somehow I remember the pushrod coming out of the engine having a flat end, not rounded?

The pushrod is flatter on the ends with a slight taper. Overall length is 7 1/4 ". Sticks out 1 1/4".

Is the 5/16 ball missing the other end under the mushroom where the pressure plate fits on. Doesn't explain the rounded end though--pirate pushrod out of something else maybe. #13 'ball'. I see the pushrod is drawn like it's in two pieces 'which it isn't'.

Very possible it is the wrong push rod. I bought one off of the bay that was suppose to be the correct part number and it was about that much too short. The vendor took it back though. I may have a picture of the two somewhere that I could send directly to you. Do you not have your old one to compare?
