Yamaha DT3. I would like to get the rear brake tensioner powder coated along with my frame. I thought I had it made when I got the swing arm pivot bushings out, but I can't get this bushing to budge using my usual brute force method. Anybody have advice to get this thing out?

Might have to ruin it by using a punch to fold over any of the outer steel part to then get a socket against it & a bigger socket the other side then force it out in the vice--out into the big socket. If ya lucky & find a perfect size socket with slight clearance just push with that without punching-folding the outer. I have luck doing things that way. If socket is slightly too small it'll try & spread the outer making it tighter. Just my old fashioned ideas. Cheers.

I think that is what was happening,, socket was slightly smaller and it was spreading the out rubber portion. Guess I could just drill the metal inner part away.

Yep, if it has to be a socket, find a very close size & grind the face dead flat so no chance of trying to push & spread it. If you can sit it on something like another bigger socket on a solid base [vice]. Then give the smaller socket one good smack with the hammer & watch it move. Seeing one side it already spread just go from the good end.
