The oil tank's been off since late November, including the oil tank's line to the autolube pump. Pipe off and plug out; The piston skirt, as observed through the exhaust port, is very wet/oily. When kicking her over 2 stroke oil is shooting out the plug hole. I had the head off to replace the head gasket a few weeks ago and rotated the flywheel to get the piston at TDC to scrape it clean of carbon. The head was off overnight, and I have to believe that when rotating the flywheel the movement of the piston lifted the jug slightly, in the morning oil had seeped out from around the cylinder base.

Okay, here's what I've figured and where I'm at right now.

The compression was high due to all the oil, 2 stroke oil getting into the cylinder. I've got to believe, as MARKT stated, the belly's full of oil. I've got the plug out with paper towels at the head's plug hole kicking her over, 25 kicks at a time with the throttle held wide open. The oil tank's empty, so no new oil's making its way into the combustion chamber. I'm getting an unbelievable amount of oil coming out! Did it twice yesterday, four sets, so 200 kicks yesterday and once again this morning for four sets of 25 at another 100 kicks. It seems to finally be throwing less oil. 25 kicks at a time because I need to get a fresh paper towel and wipe up the mess I'm making. Once it stops shooting oil out the plug hole I'll remove the head again to wipe it and the cylinder clean and pull the exhaust again to see how much oil made it into there while emptying the belly.

EDIT: Ha! Work smarter, not harder! I'm now spinning the flywheel with my cordless drill to try and pump all the oil out. Man, there's a lot in there...

I have quite a powerful drill i've been spinning my 360 with lately when playing with different ignition systems & checking the firing point for timing etc. Plug out of course to spin over. With your oil issue don't keep taking the head off to wipe clean. Just start her up, she'll be good. Run it softly before bringing revs up too much but in the end you'll be able to give a good rev out. It's going to smoke heaps for sure so hope you live out of town.

The head's only been off once, that was to replace the obviously leaking head gasket.

I believe most of the oil's out of the belly of the motor now. I used my 18 volt Makita drill to spin the flywheel to pump the oil out having a paper towel in front of the open spark plug hole to catch it. I have two batteries and used/charged each five times before I'm about satisfied. Ran batteries down 10 times plus all the kicking I did at first. I had a plastic shopping bag filled with paper towels saturated with 2 stroke oil. So saturated I could squeeze oil out of the towels. I pulled the pipe off and poured almost 1/2 cup of oil out of it.

I don't know if she'll start or, if she does start, how long she'll run before the plug fouls. I'm afraid there may be more oil in there that'll work its way up when running. It's pouring rain here right now, has been for two days, and the temps are supposed to start dropping rapidly. I'll wait a bit longer...
