Looking at the pic in the service manual, I didn't see one , nor in a vintage add, or any of the  bikes images online, but now I look at the parts diagram and it has one. All I see are the "250"and Torque Induction" emblems, other than on the parts diagram.   Probably a little late to apply  a line if has one..

No line on my original, unmolested DT3.

Has someone filled the recess over which the mounting bar sits for the "250" badge?

I don't think so, I didn't strip or paint it, but there was no recess when I took it off the bike, if there was a recess, they did a good job of filling it in. Maybe not a DT3 tank? The tank was competition green when I took it off.

Here is a picture of an original tank.

Those are some nice looking parts you have. Did you have the tail light bracket and chain guard done?

You just made me realize I didn't get my tail light bracket back, so I called and they said they didn't have the taillight bracket,  probably  chunked it because it looked scrap junk laying around the shop. .

I also realize the bike was missing a chain guard. It's always something.

I have spare tail light brackets and chain guards in excellent condition. Send me a PM if you are interested You will need to have the shop repaint them so they match your fenders.

If someone or a shop or business lets me down or doesn't deliver on what they promised I will still go back to them to achieve the end results if there are no other alternatives. I've endured some frustrations but in the end got the desired result.

I will take parts back to the same shop,  the guy that actually did the work used to work at the local Kawasaki dealer,  he did a great job taking the dent out of the tank and a huge dent out of the oil tank,  I took the oil tank and bracket over on a separate trip and didn't hand the parts directly to him, lucky to get the oil tank back. I talked him out of buying a used KTM 790 Adventure after telling him all the problems I have with mine. He has no idea how much he owes me for that.

More info on the badges. The '72 oil tanks had a bracket that the 360/250 emblem with posts attaches to. The '73 tanks were smooth and the emblems were held on with adhesive. Both years used the Torque Induction emblem with adhesive.

Repop emblems are available.

If you don't mind me asking ... what green paint code did you use? And what graphics did you use on the tank? Thanks.
