AT3 removing the rotor - changing the brishes was created by Chajoma
What suggestions on how to remove the rotor from my AT3? There seems to be an M10 thread inside the rotor but I cannot get an M10 bolt o thread into it - is it a fine thread? Do I need a special puller?
And any tips on replacing the brushes? It's not charging and they look pretty bad to me but I cannot see how to get them out.
Any advice gratefully received

Smarter folks than me will answer but if you search "
1971 ATC1 Armature puller bolt was created by tennbamaman
you will see one of many topics on the bolt puller. The full threaded 3 inch bolt listed in that series worked great for me with an electric impact driver. Also, you will find that you have to take brushes out before you can reinstall the Stator anyway. On the front of the stator there are 4 coiled springs that hold each brush in. Take a pick and pull the spring back and pull the brush out while the spring is pulled back.

oh yea, just curious why do you want to remove the armature? There is a woodruff key on that shaft that lines the armature up.

Here's the correct puller & pushes from the bottom of the hole in the crank.

Hmm. The one I ordered from Yambits doesn't look like that. I'll take a look when it gets here.
Is that one all one piece? It looks like it and that would make sense to me. Hmm. The one I ordered from Yambits doesn't look like that. I'll take a look when it gets here.

I don't want to sound like i'm trying to be smart but have you downloaded a free workshop manual from the task bar? Yamaha manuals tell you what tools you need. I would imagine that that process is visited in there too or you will see " Consult your authorised dealer" at least .

The Yambits tool fits all the enduros except the electric start 125's .
It does fit the magneto AT3 F , but as yours is an AT3 E , you need the long tapered bolt .
