AT2 Tail light fender dilema! was created by ukdt125
Hi all, been working on my US AT2 for about 18 months now and getting real close. I'm in the UK so parts are a little harder to get hold of, so when I needed a replacement tail light bracket, I opted for a reproduction that I had sent over from the states.
Since it was described as fitting the AT2, I went ahead and had it powder coated, but when I came round to fitting it, I didn't match up to the fender, not even close!
BUT! Then I went to compare it to the bent up one that came with the bike, I realised that didn't fit the fender either...
So, my question to all you Yamaha legends out there is, what here is incorrect? The new bracket? The old bracket? Or the fender? Ultiamtley, what do I need to buy to get something to fit!?
Cheers all!

Just wondering if anyone out there has any ideas on this little conundrum?

Just went out and measured my CT2. Granted the tail light is on it, so the measurement isn't exact, but my results indicate that the bracket you have is too long, mine is around 5" hole to hole.

I'd guess your bracket is from a 250 / 360 .

Just measured up my RT2 . It's the same as Darin's CT2 , so that scuttles my theory .

Might be from a street bike... R5, RD350, TX500, XS650... many other models... maybe even RD125... they all had about the spacing your bracket does.

Well there's a complete unit on ebay uk right now. But it's going to rush you £100 + robbery to get it to your house. It even looks different than your bracket. Check it out. It's a pain mate . I too live in the UK.
