Dt2 running with trail tech temperature gauge was created by wbrewstersr@gmail.com
Just came back from a 16 mile round trip trying to break my bike in slowly kept in just under 50 mph with about 4.75 on the tachometer temperature got as high as 374 deg.f
had about 5 miles straight without a stop sign each way
when coming up to stop sign it would drop to around 330 deg f
then climb back up slowly
Does this seem ok I have read that I need to stay below 400 deg f by the way the outside temperature is around 92 deg f
thanks

Seems to be leaking a little around the bottom of the cylinder I torque the head bolts to 35 lbs
Does anyone know the torque specifications I replaced top and bottom gasket did not use any gasket maker or silicone
Thanks

If it's leaking around the bottom of the cylinder that'll throw the temps off for sure. Cross pattern, 25-30ft lbs for the bolts. Since it's leaking I'd get a new gasket and make sure both surfaces are super clean before reinstalling.

Try not to hold the tpms in one spot for long. Two strokes like varied rpms especially during break in.

If it idles fine at lower temps but not at high temps, that could be a sign that the base gasket is still leaking, it can't hurt to have that in the mental files as you progress. Great looking bike and hope you get some fun miles on it!
