Hey Greg, you going to keep the airbox the way I had it?
I think it made more airflow for the mountain and desert riding I did.
Plus it made servicing a breeze.

Greg,
Tried to send you a message, but I couldn't get it to accept GFrench--go figure. I see from this build that you are in Texas; when did you leave Colorado? I'm still stuck in California, and I hate it. I've tried messaging MarkT about taking my RT-3, but he moved, had health issues, etc. He hasn't returned my last few messages here, so I guess he's no longer interested. If you know of anyonew who'd be interested in an RT-3, send them my way. Email is This email address is being protected from spambots. Hey Rick-
Since I have an original air box in really good shape will be putting that back into the bike... The Uni Filter set up is Great- I have them on all my daily riders.
But for this MX will be turning it back into orginal with the parts that I have.
If it ain't smokin', it's broken!

Hey Hammer-
Good to hear from you again... yeah not sure why you were not able to PM me on the site here.
Yeah happy here in Texas!
Your RT3 was a good solid bike when I saw it out in Cali... I will let you know if anyone I know is looking for one... but good to have it on the site here to see if anyone is interested.

Update on the MX Project:
I am ready to start the Frame Clean up and Prep for paint- I will be posting up some pics soon on this process and the finished look,
I just purchased finally a Harbor Frt Parts Washer yesterday-
This image is hidden for guests.
Will be upgrading / adding a Filter System to the unit-

Once I get all set up- I will start working on all the "Other" parts to get everything cleaned and ready for painting and or polishing.
I heard some good things about this cleaning solvent at Tractor Supply- Has anyone used it with good results?

I have been using that same cleaner and like it. It will still deteriorate nitrile gloves so keep that in mind when working with it.

My tank is not harbor freight brand but I’m almost certain it’s a clone of the same model with a different brand name slapped on it. Works just fine. You’ll need 2 jugs of the psc1000 to fill it enough to not cavitate the pump.
