1970 DT1 250 Oil Pump Question was created by Syd

Hello - Can anyone tell  me if the 1970 DT1C oil pump "Distributor Assy" which is item #4, P/N 214-13120-00 in the parts book has some type of internal oil seal or o-ring seal inside the end of cam end of the shaft?- see the attached photo
If there is a seal of some type, is there a part number for this item and any instructions on how to replace the seal?

Thanks
Syd

Do you mean the seal showing in your pic which i guess is No15 in the link but they don't show it in the part numbers down the side & any similar ones i looked at like a year later & also a 360, only list a mostly complete pump. I'm sure thats not the answer & someone will have the answer soon.

Thanks for the info. My parts book does not show this seal either, however the link from motorcycleclassics is really helpful. If anyone can tell me seal size for this small seal, that would be great.Another question I have relates to item 23 = adjusting plate which is held on to the plunger shaft by the nut. My adjusting plate is basically a thick heavy washer (see attached pic) where as the the adjusting plate shown in the DT1 250 parts book looks like it has a raised flange, which type of adjusting plate  is correct?

I’ve posted seal part numbers here a few times. A search should find them or contact DEET

The adjusting plate you refer to , is just a flat washer , and has no step in it .

Must admit the pump in my link shows a step upwards & a flat a spring washer & the nut. BUT, the shim or shim stack is shown as 21 i thing because its the next thing after the plate. Should be copper shims of various thicknesses so as to set the minimum stroke with throttle shut & cable drum thingy set back at the alignment mark or thereabouts. If it gets to far up past that it starts climbing the ramp & increasing stroke. So "if" you have a step, it goes upwards [outwards]--& shims behind it. Anyway--i think you're way ahead of me because you're into it 'Now' & not going by thinking back 50 years as i am plus looking at pics.

Man don't loose those little springs from behind the drive pins on the gear wheel. I guess they're there but can't see them in your pic.
